The Final Wedding Checklist for Your Morningside Inn Wedding Day
The Final Wedding Checklist for Your Morningside Inn Wedding Day
With just a few weeks to go, now is the perfect time to focus on the finishing touches that will help your wedding day feel smooth, organized, and stress-free. Here are a few important things to check off your list before the big day arrives.
Finalize Your Guest Count
As RSVPs are returned, be sure to submit your final guest count no less than 30 days before your wedding day. This helps ensure seating, catering, and event planning details are all accurate.
Review and Organize Your Décor
Take time to go through all décor items you plan to bring to the venue. Make sure centerpieces, signage, favors, candles, and specialty items are complete and ready for setup. Your décor should be fully prepared, organized, and ready to be placed out on wedding day.
Remember, our staff does not specialize in making floral arrangements, assembling structures, or writing your signage, so those important details should be completed before items are dropped off. Your decor should be ready to be placed out. In addition, we do not hold food overnight, so please plan to bring your cake and desserts on the day of the wedding.
It’s also helpful to review venue décor guidelines ahead of time so you know what can be placed by our team and what may need to be handled by your florist or decorator. Click here to see our Decor Guidelines.

Finalize Your Online Planning Tool
Be sure to complete and review all sections of your online planning tool, including catering, guest list, ceremony layout, decor details, and any remaining notes for our team. This is one of the most important steps in making sure everyone is prepared for your wedding day.
Complete Your Wedding Insurance Form
If you haven’t submitted your required wedding insurance policy yet, now is the time to take care of it. Completing this final step ensures everything is in place and ready for your event. Click here to access the form.
Prepare Vendor Tip Envelopes
Many couples find it helpful to organize gratuities in advance. Label envelopes for each vendor and give them to a trusted friend, family member, or coordinator to distribute on wedding day. Click here for our online Tipping Guide.
Pack Everything in Labeled Boxes or Totes
One of the best ways to simplify wedding day setup is to pack décor items neatly in organized containers. Every box or tote should be labelled with your last names and wedding date, as well as a brief description so everything can be placed quickly and efficiently.

Confirm Rehearsal Attendance
Your rehearsal is an important part of preparing for the ceremony. Make sure everyone involved in the processional and ceremony knows when to arrive, including your wedding party, officiant, readers, and family members with special roles. No worries if someone can’t make it, our coordinator will work closely with them on the day-of to keep them in the loop!
Confirm Final Details with Vendors
Reach out to your photographer, DJ, florist, baker, transportation team, and any other vendors to confirm arrival times, contact information, and final logistics.
Pack a Wedding Day Emergency Kit
A small emergency kit can go a long way. Include essentials such as safety pins, stain remover, tissues, fashion tape, pain reliever, mints, and snacks.
Break In Your Wedding Shoes
Wear your wedding shoes around the house before the big day to make sure they’re comfortable and ready for hours of celebrating.

Most Importantly, Enjoy This Season!
The final month can feel busy, but it is also one of the most special parts of the wedding journey. Take time to enjoy the excitement, celebrate the countdown, and soak in every moment.
Your wedding day at Morningside Inn will be here before you know it, and we cannot wait to celebrate with you.
