Kristin and Jeremy held their spring outdoor wedding in Maryland at Morningside Inn. Jeremy relaxed in the groom’s room while Kristin enjoyed the bride’s room before the ceremony while wearing her white robe embroidered with “Bride” on the back. The bride’s room provides plenty of space for the wedding party to prepare for the wedding as well as a safe area to hang dresses. Kristin chose a silver and blue color scheme which was accented in her shoes and veil. The couple highlighted the importance of a lasting love throughout their wedding and honored guests that had lasting marriages. All wedding guest received Hershey kisses as a wedding favor in a decorative paper box topped with a note that read, “It started with Hugs & Kisses. Now, they’re Mr. & Mrs. Thank you for celebrating with us!” The wedding cake was three tiered with cream and blue icing and silver hearts. A framed keepsake poem about lasting love read:
Love is a temporary madness, it erupts like an earthquake and then subsides. And when it subsides you have to make a decision. You have to work out whether your roots have become so entwined together that it is inconceivable that you should ever part. Because this is what love is.
Love is not breathlessness, it is not excitement, it is not the promulgation of eternal passion. That is just being “in love” which any of us can convince ourselves we are. Love itself is what is left over when being in love has burned away, and this is both an art and a fortunate accident. Those that truly love have roots that grow towards each other underground, and when all the pretty blossoms have fallen from their branches, they find that they are one tree and not two.
